Pillingers Hiring Service at Food, Art & Films By the Wharf

Pillingers Hiring Service is so lucky to be apart of some of Sydney's finest events and festivals. We've decided it's time to let you in on what we're looking forwars to each and every week... let's kick this off.

Gorge yourself on Black Tasmanian mussels with fresh tomato, white wine and mixed herb sauce at Casa di Nico; opt for the spicy taste explosion of La Cita’s Mixed Seafood Paella; or tune your taste buds to the delights of Cargo Bar’s Gippsland grain-fed Angus – all at the special price of $30 during this seasonal food festival.

Well-fed art lovers are then encouraged to check out the contemporary works of Mel Anderson, Bee Bowen and Odd One out – just to name a few – and the family-friendly food films screening at the open air cinema next to Cargo Bar. Screenings are on every Thursday and Friday evening, opening at 7pm for 8pm, and include the likes of Julie and Julia, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Fried Green Tomatoes.

Movie entry is free but limited to the first 100 arrivals, with a great combination of films for movie (and foodie) buffs young and old we think it’s a great way to spend a balmy night at the end of the week.

The Outdoor Cinema is located on the Promenade, south of Cargo Bar. Its opening hours are from 7pm for an 8pm screening every Thursday and Friday in October.

The Pop Up Gallery is located on the Promenade, next to George’s Mediterranean Bar & Grill. It is open daily in October.
